Phil’s life and lore were the inspiration for a composition by New York City-based singer/songwriter/musician Oliver Richman, who last year created a tune based on the iconic groundhog, “The Ballad of Phil and Phyllis.”
The song was originally released by Stevie Wonder in 1967 for his one and only Christmas album, “Someday at Christmas.”
Here’s the endearing musical tale of “One Little Christmas Tree.” Christmas is, of course, a time for families and there’s also a family tree to consider here.
The new piano-only single produced by Lisa is a duet featuring artist Marcus H.

Lisa is set to release a cover of her father’s classic “Touch Me in the Morning” with artist, Marcus H on December 13.

Honoring her mother, composer Aurora Miller, who passed away earlier this year, singer/songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller remakes the Stevie Wonder classic holiday hit, “Everyone’s A Kid At Christmas Time,” written by her mother and her father, legendary songwriter Ron Miller. Lisa teams up with both of her children, 16-year-old actor/singer Oliver Richman and 10-year-old dancer/singer Ashleigh Hackett, for the first time in the new holiday release and music video.
In 1970, legendary Motown songwriter Ron Miller penned the song, “Heaven Help Us All,” becoming one of Stevie Wonder’s first major hits. Now, Miller’s grandson, 14-year-old singer and multi-talented performer Oliver Richman, releases a new recording and music video for a new generation.
Veteran producer/singer/songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller has teamed with her son, 15-year-old actor and recording artist Oliver Richman, on “Today” – a poignant, soaring ballad that marks the artists’ first ever recorded vocal collaboration. The song is now available on iTunes and Amazon.

Stevie Wonder originally recorded Ron Millers’ ballad “Heaven Help Us All” back in 1970 for Motown Records’ Tamla imprint. The version presented here is delicately reinterpreted for another generation by Oliver Richman, Ron’s grandson.
With its first line being “Home for the holidays,” the 40-year-old Kenny Loggins/ Bob James song “Celebrate Me Home” became one more pop item to join the ranks of those pieces that qualify as seasonal fare by accident or design.

TikTok singer/songwriter and recording artist Oliver Richman, who rose to fame through his “song-a-day” project, will play the role of Jonah. Since 2024, the singer-songwriter has written more than 900 songs, including such hits as “The Ballad of Phil and Phyllis” and “Bunnies.”
The six-week strictly limited engagement begins performances on Wednesday, September 30 at The Loft at St. Luke’s Theatre.

Phil captured the hearts and imagination of TikTok creatives in early February when user @olivesongs11 composed a song based on the lore that Punxsutawney Phil has been alive since 1886, and his longevity comes from an “elixir of life” that he takes a sip of every summer.
